All shipping charges are clearly defined on our site. We do offer many free shipping deals. Some items that must ship via truck freight or are drop shipped from the manufacturer direct to you are not eligible for free shipping. In any instance where shipping is not free you will notified either by posting on the site or by e-mail before we complete your order.
Items are shipped via FedEx, UPS, US Postal Service and various truck freight carriers. Carrier choice is at our discretion or the discretion of suppliers that ship for us.
Items damaged in transit should be reported to Truck Alterations and the carrier if applicable within 24 hours of delivery. After 24 business hours carriers can deny a claim. Truck Alterations will do everything possible to expedite the process of replacing items damaged in transit. At times a replacement may not be available until the damaged item has been returned and/or inspected by either us or the carrier. The customer may choose to purchase a replacement item and receive credit for the damaged item once settlement is made with the carrier.
TRUCK FREIGHT SHIPMENTS: Most truck freight carriers will ask for a signature at the time of delivery. Whether the customer signs or someone else at their delivery address signs the result is the same. Any damage MUST be noted on the receipt of delivery before signing. If you sign for an item that is damaged as good because you failed to inspect the shipment before signing there will be little to nothing we can do. PLEASE inspect all truck freight shipments thoroughly before signing for them
Items returned due to shipping damage will be exchanged according to shipping policies above. Items returned and not exchanged will only be credited a full refund once carrier has settled a damage claim.
Incorrect Item Return
Items that are the incorrect part # / model will be returned according to the following:
Returns due to customer mistake such as incorrect part # ordered, incorrect truck description etc. will be exchanged with the customer paying return freight and the original freight for the product. There are no restocking fees on exchanges except where the items were shipped from or by a supplier that charges a restocking fee. In that event the fee will be passed on to the customer.
Incorrectly ordered items that are not exchanged or returns due to buyer remorse must be returned freight prepaid by the customer and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee plus original freight charges. Items that were special ordered or shipped by a supplier may not be returnable or may be subject to a higher restocking fee.
Items refused by customer or not picked up from carriers shall be subject to all return policies as listed above.
All issues must be reported to Truck Alterations within 48 hours of receipt.
All items are new unless otherwise noted and subject to full manufacturer warranty. Customer recourse is through manufacturer warranty only for defects. Truck Alterations will do anything possible to assist customer in obtaining warranty assistance.
